What To Do When You Inherit Stamps

By Bob Ingraham, British Columbia Philatelic Society

This paper provides three choices available to you if you should happen to inherit a stamp collection: 1) Become a Collector; 2) Donate your collection; or, 3) Sell your collection.  Click on the title for the full story (PDF document) and don't forget the as a source of information.

The Nova Scotia Stamp Club as been in existence for over 80 years under its current constitution . Organized philately in Nova Scotia, however, is recorded back to the 1880's with the existence of the then Nova Scotia Philatelic Association (circa 1887). The Club today is still a vibrant organization of approximately 120 members from around the globe.  More club history ....

The club hosts a yearly bourse and exhibition - NOVAPEX and since hosting the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada Convention in 2004 is now a regular cycle of regional and national shows on opposite years.

The Mission and Mandate of the Club is to encourage the collecting of postage stamps, related items and the study of Philately. To promote interest in the hobby, the Club meets monthly to exchange and acquire Philatelic items and knowledge for the mutual benefit of all members.  NSSC has a membership of more then 120 - mostly from Nova Scotia, but we also have members in other eastern provinces to Ontario and several International members.
